Niacinamide: The Ingredient for Everyone
Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3. It appears across every category of skincare — cleansers, toners, essences, serums, moisturizers, sunscreens and masks — which is why it is one of the most widely formulated ingredients on SkinSeoul. This edit brings the niacinamide range on SkinSeoul together in one place, across every step of a routine.
What it is formulated for
Supporting the skin barrier, helping regulate sebum, reducing the appearance of enlarged pores, and evening the look of skin tone and post-acne marks. It is included for different reasons depending on the product, so the same ingredient name can serve a different purpose in a toner than it does in a treatment serum.
Why it layers easily
Niacinamide is not an exfoliant and does not increase photosensitivity, so it does not require the same sequencing care as acids or retinoids. It is commonly combined in-formula with other actives, including tranexamic acid, arbutin, zinc and panthenol.
How to use
Follow the instructions on the individual product. As a general rule, lighter textures go before heavier ones — serums after cleansing and toning, before moisturizer. Niacinamide can be used on mornings or evenings.
